MG Rover has approximately 300 Dealerships in the UK, mostly on a franchise basis. Some of these dealerships are in themselves part of a large multi-brand vehicle-retailing organisation, with accreditation to ISO14001 environmental management systems.

MG Rover contracts with Dealerships demand that there is basic compliance with all relevant environmental regulations such as waste management, etc. The dealerships themselves are responsible for this compliance.

In an effort to share any knowledge gained about environmental topics relevant to Dealer service centres and body shops, MG Rover provide an Environmental Guidelines document dedicated to dealerships and service outlets.

MG Rover also negotiates preferential commercial rates from Waste collection companies with a view to monitoring total waste throughput for the Dealer network and targeting certain waste streams for possible recycling initiatives.
